    Default Biometrics Engineering Student Internship

    The deadline to apply has been extended to January 31, 2010:

    Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I-3) is offering one paid internship opportunity for the summer of 2010. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: assist Software Engineer/Development with biometric/ABIS application development, assist system/network engineers designing or maintaining biometrics/AFIS systems, research, and other duties as warranted. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to work in a high-stress environment with little direct supervision, be customer- and detail-oriented, and possess good decision-making abilities. Positions will fill a Monday through Friday support role in a dynamic environment. Scheduled hours will be flexible to work around the student’s curriculum and class schedule (if necessary).

    Requirements: must be considered at least an undergraduate junior or have a Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s) in Computer or Biometrics Engineering--a candidate majoring in or with a Bachelor’s degree in another Engineering discipline may also be considered. Intermediate level competency in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is a necessity.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: all of the following requirements MUST be met to be considered for this opportunity:

     Submit resume to include dates of availability, type of degree, major and minor courses of study, cumulative GPA, major GPA, and graduation date(s) for all institutions attended.
     Institution Permission: If you are required to participate in an internship as part of your major requirements, please provide a confirmation letter that our Program meets your institution’s internship requirements.
     Submit unofficial cop(ies) of all undergraduate and/or graduate academic transcripts for all institutions attended. Those invited for an in-person interview will be required to provide a certified copy of all academic transcript(s) for all institutions attended.
     Must be able to successfully obtain or already possess DoD Secret clearance.
     Must be willing to commute (or temporarily relocate) to the Fairmont or Clarksburg, WV area.
